In the history of football, Diego Armando Maradona is a burning star. The Argentinian born on 30th October in 1960 and started his professional football career in 1976 at the age of 14 in Argentinos Juniors. He spent 5 years at Argentinos Juniors and scored 115 goals in 167 appearances. Then he transferred to Boca Juniors on a contract of 4 million US dollars. He signed the contract with Boca Juniors on 20th Feb 1981.  After the 1982 world a cup he was transferred to Barcelona with the world-record fee of 5 million euros. In 1983 he won Copa del Rey by beating Real Madrid. In the same year, he won Spanish Super Cup by beating Athletic Bilbao. He also won the "El clásico", one of the best rivalries of football, by defeating Real Madrid. Spending 2 years in Barcelona he transferred to Napoli, the Italian club for a record fee of 6.9 million. He won several cups there as a captain. Because of some problems he left Napoli in 1992 and signed Sevilla. Stayed there for only one year and in 1995 he came to Boca Juniors for two years. At age of 16, he made his international debut against Hungary on 27th Feb 1977. He played FIFA World Youth Championship at the age of 18 and became a star of the tournament. In 1982 he played his first world cup. In 1886 Argentina won the FIFA World cup against west Germany by 3-2 under the captaincy of him. One of the greatest achievements of his career. 




After his playing career, he became a coach of Argentina's National team in 2008. He scored 259 goals in his 21-year professional club career and scored 34 goals in 91 appearances for his country. He won the Ballon d'Or Dream team, FIFA World Cup Golden Ball, Milliyet sports award for world athlete of the year. This golden boy of football created history and became a legend. On 25 November 2020, we lost this star, but he would always remain immortal in our hearts.
